Here you
will find a large selection of the highest quality Airsoft
guns on the market. Airsoft guns come in three categories
described below. Please use the menu on the left to
browse the different types of guns.
Electric
- These guns use batteries as their power source. Most
electric guns are fully automatic, and are referred to
as A.E.G.s (Automatic Elecric Gun). AEGs are by far
the most popular type of gun, since they are low maintenance,
easy to upgrade, and VERY effective on the field. There
are also battery powered pistols called E.B.B.s
(Electric Blow Back). EBBs are not as powerful as other
guns, and if ever on the field, they could function
as nothing but a sidearm.
Gas - Gas guns use a gaseous propellant
such as Green Gas or Co2. Gas guns are just about as
powerful as AEGs, but they are a higher maintenance
gun and much harder to upgrade. Still, many people prefer
gas guns to AEGs because of the realism factor. Most
gas powered guns have a function called "Blowback"
These guns are called G.B.B.s (Gas Blow Backs). What
blowback does, is bring the gun to a whole new level
of realism by simulating the actual firing of the gun
(i.e. a GBB pistol's slide will actually fly backwards
and load another BB, just like the real steal).
Spring - Spring guns are the perfect
entry level gun for those new to Airsoft. With spring
guns, the gun must be cocked before the firing of each
shot. While this does increase the amount of time between
shots, it significantly lowers the cost of the gun, as
well as the maintenance. Spring guns are the most durable
of all Airsoft guns because they have less pieces that
can break. Also, some of the best sniper rifles in the
game of Airsoft are spring based. These rifles are bolt
action, and function just like the real gun. Never underestimate
the power of a spring gun.
